after reading the city eclogue by mr. roberson i enjoyed how he is more modern than the last packet of poems were. some of his stuff was difficult to understand, but for the most part i could actually get through his poems and kind of enjoyed them, more than i thought i would. the selections we talked about in class were much more interesting after going over them and everyone saying what they thought what he was trying to get across or ment by what he said.
the destroying of cities and buildings making them into rubble. all of them captured my imagination and i could see some of the things that he was talking about. i look for that ability when reading.
it would have been cool if i could have found the book and been able to read more of his poems, but you do what you can with what you have.
